Rocks That Don't Raise Ph

I just need a list of rocks that I can use in my aquarium that won't change the ph or anything. I got some zebra rocks from my lfs, put them in a few days ago, checked my ph and it's pretty high now. Luckily I havent gotten my fish yet so it's not hurting anything. I really liked those rocks but I need to replace them. If someone could help that would be great!

There are simply too many to name, but my favourite type is Sieryu Stone.

Granite is okay from what I have read, is that correct? I don't know why I didn't think about this before, my boyfriend works for a granite company and can get scraps

Granite is fine yes, generally any rocks which contain any form of calcium carbonate are unsuitable.

I was told that flint rocks are safe in an aquarium as they don't alter the PH. I have some large flint rocks in my aquarium and they look great in amongst the plants.

take a trip to the Forum Search. one member (and probably more) made a list of rocks and their effects (not much)

most rocks, have little or no lasting effect on your water. yes, in theory, some could have.. but over all its nothing to be worried about.

only real thing to watch is for red (rusty) streaks. even that has little effect unless you have a very acidic tank. but, if a rock passes the Vinegar test, it a good bet its safe all round.

and one more thing. dont be fooled into boiling any you buy, its extremely dangerous, and totally pointless.

Thanks everyone! I will just go with the granite for now. Its free, there's a TON of colors to choose from, an endless supply and I can have him make whatever I want for the most part, just need some silicone and have him bring some of their tools home.

mind you, granite is radio active . in areas where Granite is the bedrock, radiation levels are, often, over the "published" safe limit. for your average fish, i would guess this is not a problem. but for breeding or to stock young fish. well? .
