Yay, got moar fish! (Now my tank is finally donated media cycled)



I picked up:

3x Guppys
2x Indian Gouramis
1x Female Platy (So my males can have some fun ^^)

I also got a floating breeding trap so i can keep the platy fry.

How many males do you have? Cause one poor lone female will be seriously harrassed and stressed with lots of boys after her. Generally recommended to have 2 females to 1 male

Hmm, its currently the opposite. Ill pick up another 1-2 females next time im near.
also, the new platie is a yellow/black variant. Males are orange. I take it they will still breed?

The platy doesnt seem to swim around much, just sort of floats....
DOes this also mean preggers or is she ill?

floating is not normal, how does she float? upright? on side?

Well, not really float, just stays still. If i thud the desk and she gets shock she will shoot off. Maybe she is just still adjusing?

EIT: and lol, i bought my first ever frozen treats for the fish. I didnt know how much bloodworm would et eaten, so i just put one of the blocks in. THe gouramis have been devouring it mostly, but occasionaly i see a neon with a red line popping out its mouth. now i seee one of the guppys with a long bloodworm like string of poo .
