Restocking My 29 Gallon

If I had a 15 gallon I would betta tank it. And have some smaller fishes with a male betta like rasboras. Maybe some dwarf corys or shrimp. But I wouldn't suggest a goldfish.

No goldfish are suitable in a 15 gallon, they grow far too big.
Anyone else have that feeling?

I've already decided to skip the goldfish for this tank. But eventually I'll get a large goldfish tank.

Thanks. May or may not get the tank. I called my LFS to see how much of a discount a floor model stand would be and he said there was a $20 fee for a floor model because it's setup and I was like I should give you $20 because you saved me 15 minutes then let little kids touch my stand?

Oh man. Floor models are never in good shape if they've been there a long while. One of them had a drawer on it with the hinge already broken off. and another one was all scratched up looking.

I like it because it's a tetra success kit 15 gallon look it up, on sale for only $39.99. the stand will cost the same/ a little more. I'd probobly get a 20 gallon stand for it. The one I'm looking at would be around $40. The good thing is other than that all I'd need to buy is gravel and a decoration. No plants as I can use mine from my 29 gallon tank. (I'm converting it to a planted tank)

The idea that you would pay more for a floor stand than for a brand new stand is just ludicrous. Absolutely nuts. I would have laughed right in the guy's face for saying that. A floor model is a 25% discount MINIMUM. I would start the negotiation at a 50% discount and wouldn't take anything less than a 25% discount. If they didn't move off that stance, then I would just walk.

I know I laughed at the guy on the phone. Here's the conversation: "how much of a discount is there on the floor models of the aquarium stands?" him: "oh no discount we have a $20 assembly charge because it's already setup for you" me:"haha your kidding right? Why should I pay more for a stand that little kids can touch and is possibly broken? Him: "if you don't like that idea then don't buy s floor model stand" me: " not at that price" I then hang up.
