i am finally getting rid of my two chinese algae eaters but i think i will miss them is there anything similar but safe i could get instead?

If its the 60 liter tank in your profile your best bet would be a group of ottos. Mini sucker fish, gets to about an inch and a half and best kept in groups of 5 or so.

wow, they look really cool if i had 8 in there i think my tank may be a bit full would you advise keeping less thank 8?

They stay small, if you had 8, you may only ever see 4 or so, if you have lots of hiding places lol They are not big on the bio either, keep 4 to 5 as a min x

cheers, are just checking there aren't any specialist foods or anything they need?

Depending how much algae you have in the tank,they'll munch on that but you must make sure they get their greens, cucumber,corgette,algae wafers etc or they'll starve.
