no,its similar.its a sciaenochromis fryeri.ahlis are quite rare to find.most lfs lable fryeri as ahlis but they arent.
 
mark, it looks good but you could do with a lot, lot more of rocks. they need to beable to develop there own territories.
 
nice fish in your profile.i've kept most fish but malawis are my favourite.would love an 8ft x 2ft x 2ft if i had the room.

this is my tank before i introduced most of my fish. i have no room at ,but if you read my introduction on new comers (new to forum) you will see what tanks i have, plus i have ordered 6 18x15x12 to set up as brooder and fry tanks. cant wait to have every thing set up. will pm you soon if you dont mind?

sorry bud for late reply, never saw you had replied, I hate you as????????? obliquadins were THE first ever cichlid i ever kept about 10 years ago, have not seen them anywere. :good:
 
Rixy, what is that substrate, how much was it and where did you get it from? I want some black sand, but that looks like fine gravel which may be fine.
