Be careful if you do decide in the future to order! Check the Australian regulations about importing fish, I believe they are very very strict. I would just run some checks first, otherwise you could end up losing your money or worse. I believe its because of the Transhipper costs that make it so expensive for you guys in Australia.

Hey bronzecat yeah the shipping costs like four times the price of the fish! I prefer to not buy online from another country as i dont like to stress fish through transport. But i just cant find any decent breeders here in victoria...

You'll probably find that all the fish (Bettas) in your lfs have come from Asia anyway. Bettas imported into the UK normally take about 3/4 days and are normally ok. I would guess that shipping to Australia would be quicker? The thing is with Aquabid, although the shipping costs are a bit scary, generally you can get a really good fish at a bargain price. If you do go through Aquabid its worth asking the seller how many they would send for the same shipping costs, and if they have any siblings to the one you liked. That way it becomes more of a good deal

Just to add to what bronzecat said - if you have any friends that are interested in getting any bettas from the same place, you can split the shipping.

The seller, as far as I can tell, has good feedback - not tons, but what they have is good. Most likely a newer seller on AB I would think.

Looks like if you want a nice crown, you just might have found him!!!!

You can sell fish and inverts on Ebay. I've seen tadpoles as well...

While that is true, aquatics (fish, shrimp, lobsters, crayfish, etc) are the exception. Why? I don't know, but they are.

From what i was told the other day in here you need an import export licence to post them internationally but i dont htink selling fish on ebay is an issue.
