Rehomed Some Fish

After much thought, I have decided to rehome my black neon tetras and BN catfish. I know I've only had them a short time but with my 'bigger tank situation' up in the air and my female bettas getting narky with the tetra, I thought it was the best way forward.

I also know that my BN is in a good home too, all 6 fish went to the same person who has a 5ft tank, only a couple of other fish and another BN plec (adult).

But my main question is about filters; my friend would like to know what filter would be best suited for a 5ft tank with 2 plecs in it. He doesn't know the exact litre/gals amount and is wondering if an outside filter would be better than a normal one?

I don't know a lot but yeah they seem to recommend externals for big tanks.

Tell him to measure the tank dimensions and someone here will be able to work out his litres/gallons for himl.

hi tell your friend to mesure the tank and google tank qauntity loads of calculators online i would recomend 2 external filters with the intake tubes at either end and spray bars along the back aim for a 10x ph turnover it might sound excessive but well worthe the extra exspense of 2 filters .
