Most of them are fine, just dont go for a cheap hong Kong inport
i keep getting outbid on refractometers  but have so far managed to avoid the hong kong ones even in my moments of desperation :shout:

What the #70### is wrong with the so called cheap hong kong ones?

That's what I'm using and it works a treat. Nice bit of kit.

how much did it actually cost tho with postage etc, how long did you have to wait for it woody as i'm beginning to think i may have no other option

I just purchased a portable refractometer. I thought it a good idea since I'd like to collect, and reading about the differences between hydrometers and refractometers, I decided that a refractometer would be the better option. Probably paid too much for it, but with the rest of the sale items in my order and the free shipping, I think I made out fine. If I paid too much, Haha, I'll save a load of money on my livestock! Lewiss should tell you how much livestock is in Miami. You guys are gonna die...
