Refill For Jbl Co2 Tank Between Glasgow And Largs

If you were to ask the likes of Tom Barr, I believe they would say the best results come from the diffuser blowing CO2 microbubbles around the tank. Personally, I don`t like the look of the bubbles and have invested in a reactor for my next tank.

Dave.

As per my PM, I'm definately coming around to the external reactor idea.
I have a 400l tank with 16mm hose connections going to the UV with the same.
The water finally comes out of a spraybar about 4" below the surface

Is there anything I would have to change, or be aware of ?

Peter

I have read your PM.

Is your spray bar pointing up to the water`s surface? If it is, to much surface agitation will drive off CO2. Point slightly downwards in to the tank.

Yes, it is pointing up.
So is the idea to have nothing breaking the surface at all, or just not as much as pointing at the surface would ?

Peter

Have now ordered the Aquamas kit with the external reactor (no bypass) and solenoid.
Thanks for everyones' help :good:

Wait until I hook it up, I'll be even more confused
