Fish Crazy
Guys, I've had a single male Red Spot Severum in my 5ft x 2ft community tank for a few months now and despite being a little hesitant about this initially there have been no displays of anti-social behaviour, the tank is generally very peaceful and its inhabitants are doing well. But, the one real problem I'm facing is that over time the Severum has managed to uproot, shred, nibble and rip at the plants until the the tank has started to look bare. I knew this may happen, but thought I had a plan 'B'....and that was to go and buy loads of fast growing plants, including pond weed, that I thought might manage to proliferate at a faster rate than the Severum could cope with! But no such luck...I come downstairs this morning to see 3 or 4 pieces uprooted, some chopped in half and floating at the top.
So, the long and short of this is are there any plants that Severums won't tackle or that are sturdy enough to withstand their relentless attention? I suspect the answer will be no, but still worth asking I guess. I really don't want have to find this lovely a fish a new home, but I might have no practical alternative...
Here he is....
