Just noticed the tail of one of my red eye tetras is damaged. Does anyone know what this is? Could it be an injury or disease?

maybe fungal or bacterial.

add 2 heaped tablespoons of rock salt and keep it there for 2 weeks. see how it goes. if it gets worse, post more pics/ video.

Add the salt straight into the tank? Tbh I've never had to treat a sick fish before and i don't have a quarantine tank.

Take some water out of the tank, dissolve the salt in that, then pour it back into the tank.
