Really Cloudy After Play Sand

Finished my change from gravel to sand and I'm not sure the fish are too happy

It settled down a bit so I could do a spot of planting and its all cloudy again now,here is to hoping its died down in the morning.

I only got one 25kg bag from toys r us and need another down the line as its nowhere near as deep as I hoped

When I purchase my sand I rinse it in small amounts ( so I'm not rinsing for 3 days straight ) until the water in the bucket is pretty clear then add it to the tank. If there is any left over dust I find it settles/gets filtered out after a day or so.

Yeah, I spent around an hour washing it in a large tub and an old tank.

I think It may have needed some extra attention, or perhaps some clouding is normal?

the clouding is normal when first added into the tank but it shouldnt be doing that when you do some plating

I used a small 2 gallon bucket with about an inch or two of sand at a time and I pour it out in my backyard. Keep filling with water, wait 20 seconds or so, and pour out all the water. Rinse, repeat. It took me like 3 or 4 hours doing it that way. My tank was still cloudy for around 2 days and I had to rinse the filter inserts multiple times.

The water was running clear in the tubs but Im thinking I should have done smaller batches now.

I'll have to pick up some finer filter pads by the looks of things
