some are wild fish so they are in a holding tank untill i am happy they are all healthy before i transfer them to larger tanks, but feeding well and so far so good.

£26 each now that's what I call a birthday pressie lol.
Just realised that mine is differant.
No wonder mine was cheaper :D

OMG what a birthday prezzie.
Now i have Seen fully grown Adults over on MFK and DAMNNNnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they are very sexy Cichlids.

thanks guys, i think they were quite reasonably priced, wildwoods have afew of the same for £74 each. When i saw them at wildwoods i knew with abit of research somewhere else would have them at same time and struck it lucky with BAS at bolton.
Yes they are in QT i always QT anything rare or over £20(too expensive to take risks, i always QT my Discus too) and it gives me some time to get another stand made up to house more tanks

I have to add this.
But 74 quid :shout:
Bloody hell.
You got a bargain then Angelmouse. I thought the price of marine fish was bad enough lol.
I like the fact that that type stay nice and small, my chromide can grow and grow

They are beauties, well worth every penny.
Happy belated Birthday,

Are the Vejia and texas wild caught as well? I'm very fond of argentea, I love them as large adults. What will the two CA's be kept with?

The Etroplus Canarensis are wild, not sure about the vieja and Texas as they are from Don conkels and i know he imports alot of wilds but don't think these are.
the E.Canarensis are going in own tank and Not sure what the vieja will go with yet, need some research and advice on that one, if anyone can recomend suitable tankmates and other large cichlids, i will try and keep the texas with it as they seem happy at the moment, but feel sure as they get bigger i will have to separate them due to vieja's well reported aggression. I've always admired the Arentea so decided to go for it and work the tank around him.
regards Angel
