We have two Queen Arabesque, L260's. They reside in our 4ft community tank. Firstly, our definite male, Arry

Our second Arabesque, Arabella (because I think it's female)

My favorite hypansistrus, obviously. They are pretty friendly and even pose for pics now. They know when I'm putting their frozen shrimp in the tank, and charge out to get it.

:D

hi,
i must say those are stunning fish, how big do they get? i have a L204 flash pleco hes sweet, i would like to get another pleco, one that grows no more than 6inch to go in with him,but im not sure if he would get on with another pleco either the same or a different kind. all the best with your two, donna :)

Thanks all. They are so beautiful and the pics don't do them justice.

Donna 123, got any pics of your plec? They are so gorgeous. How big is he? As far as I know, the QA's grow to about 4-5 inches. They are territorial, having a spot in the tank with their cave that THEY stay in. Not together though, but they take turns.

Lovely QA iJay, got any pics of him/her out of the bag in the tank?

And finally, has anyone got any ideas if our Arabella is a male or female?

Thanks all

:D

Thanks all.

Donna123, , that is one gorgeous plec you have there. He is amazing. How long have you had him? Our first L260 we got was very shy, but after adding the second one in May, he started coming out more. Even stays by the front when I put food in without darting off like he used to. The second one is a lot more outgoing. It swims around all the time and only hides away when "she" wants a nap  .

Thanks for sharing your pic with us, beautiful. :good:

:D

They are so lovely. Really cute little faces! Do you put the shrimp in frozen or de-frost if first? Also, how do you weigh it down? I had to tie a prawn to a stone.

I tried our new Para Pleco with a prawn and he nibbled on it for a while but then went back to the cucumber. Perhaps he might like shrimp?

Anyway, lovely plecos guys! Our LFS has some and we keep looking at them. They are better in pairs though aren't they? And we are almost out of room for more plecs.
