They are so lovely. Really cute little faces! Do you put the shrimp in frozen or de-frost if first? Also, how do you weigh it down? I had to tie a prawn to a stone.

I tried our new Para Pleco with a prawn and he nibbled on it for a while but then went back to the cucumber. Perhaps he might like shrimp?

Anyway, lovely plecos guys! Our LFS has some and we keep looking at them. They are better in pairs though aren't they? And we are almost out of room for more plecs.

I add a bit of tank water to a cup and plop a few shrimp in there (straight from the deep freeze). I let them defrost a bit, put them in the tank by hand, but before dropping them squeeze so they absorb a bit of the tank water. Then they just sink. It took about 2 tries before our QA's realized just how much they loved them. Now it doesn't last a night. Our Red Whiptails are just as mad on them, as well as BN and oto's. The cories love them too.

Oh yes Bex, we got another red whiptail today, a male. Our other two are definate females and now we have a little boy. He is so gorgeous. Are you still thinking about getting some?

We also battled to get our first QA to come out to eat. I also put food in at night. But eventually he did become a bit less shy, so I stopped feeding him after lights out and now they both dart out just before I feed them, waiting for their food.

Cheers guys! Will try squeezing a shrimp!

The Red Whips are still too tiny to go in our tank I think but we are keeping an eye on them. However we recently got an albino common, he's a red one and because he'll get quite big we're nearly on our plec limit.

Problem is our LFS has the best plec selection. They've got at least 7 or 8 different L number's in all of the time. They've got Queen Arabesques, blue phantoms, green phantoms, king tigers, golden nuggets, snowball plecs, para plecs, a couple of different whips - red ones, silver ones and loads more. It's pleco heaven!!!!!

So we want all of them and can't decide which ones... till we get a much bigger tank!

Wish I could see all those whiptails and L-number plecs Bex. Must be very hard not to have the I wants. I'd love another L260, but we'd definitely need another tank. They are so gorgeous. I'll put some pics up of my new handsome whiptail man so you can see all his little hairs, he is so cute

Oooh yes please! Would love to see a piccy of your new boy he sounds lovely!

It's a real problem trying not to buy all the gorgeous plecs in our LFS. And to make things worse, we're quite friendly with the staff now and the guy who does all the fish orders told us last week if there were any plecs we wanted, to let him know and he'll get them in for us! Nightmare for plec heads who are nearly at their pleco limit.

We reckon we can only get 1 or 2 more but we want them all!!!!!!
