Hello all,

I'll get right down to it. I have a planted 20H filled with freshwater trop. fish (danios, tetras, rainbows, corys), a filled, mature, bare bones, 20L with gravel substrate, and a dry 30 with a double-light hood. I'd like to set up a shell-dweller tank. I'd sure like to keep the 20H as is but I'm open to suggestions. I have cichlid rock and will soon get better (sand) substrate for the shellies.

Options:
Save the 30 for a rainy day and use the 20L for the shellies

Put the trop. fish in the 30 and use the 20H for the shellies

Use the 30 for the shellies

What'd I miss?

Thanks

Personally I'd go with the 30 for shellies, you'd be able to start out with a few more, and have more choices for adding top dwellers. :good:

Agreed, but if you do use a 20 gallon i would use the 20L, not the 20H.

Shell dwellers don't really swim up the water column as much and would appreciate the extra floorspace over the extra height.
