Purigen Made My Water Cloudy?

I bought a bag of purigen, added it to my filter as I was acclimating 4 new Pink Jewels. Had to take some carbon out, or else nothing could fit and the filter would overflow. But 2 hours later, the water is now cloudy! Can anyone possibly give me a cause? No fish have died, and all acounted for.

Purigen doesn't could the water, even when not rinsed. As Minnnt say's has it cleared yet?

Yup, it cleared by the next morning. Still don't know what caused it, but whatya gonna do about it

Begs the question "should you rinse it" ? As i will be using it. I guess if it should not cloud even if not rinsed the answer would be no ?

Yes, the water clarity has increased a tiny bit and the filter doesn't stink anymore, and it went from white to light brown after two days, so I guess I must've had a lot of organic waste in my water

they say rinse it on the package before use

i put mine in last week and forgot, didnt get any clouding.

cant decide if its made a huge impact on water quality or not, it does look clear though!
