Yes. I don't know what else to say. It's under the max size too. I've tried with many pics.

are you uploading from your pc?
 
you can save the picture into a png or gif with some photo editing software and you should be good to go.

On my pc but theres no where to upload the gif or to paste it in my signature

ooohh in your signature, I misread that bit, you would have to upload your picture to a photohosting site like photobucket 1st, then get the link from that to be able to put pictures in your signature.

Copying and pasting the link doesn't work for me just just is a link you click to get to the picture.

Does your link have URL in brackets at the start and the end?

No you can't, not too sure why.
 
To have a photo in your signature, upload it to Photobucket, Flickr, Picasa, whatever, and find the URL for the photo, and copy it.
 
To edit your profile, click your cursor into the editor box, then click the photo icon above. Paste the URL (using CTRL+V) into the dialogue box, and there ya go.

You can add a photo to your signature from here. You click the "My Media" button and then select "Attachments". At least it just let me. If a photo of my tank shows up when I click Post on this post then I will know for sure it worked.

I don't want it there so I'm going to remove it in a moment but sure enough you don't need Photowhateverbucket...

Yes, it shows up as the code for images. As long as you see that code you're good.
