Well, i'm going to try and convince my mam to get rid of her angels, as they aren't suitable to my tank. And I want some ideas for colorful and pretty fish that are suitable for the following dimensions 30"(l)x15"(h)x12"(w) and will go well with the following fish:
1x CAE (Chinese Algae Eater)
3x Bristlenose Plecs (One very old and two juvies)

I'm gonna try rehome all my other fish (well not all of them obviously).
Also, things that aren't going to overstock my tank, and will leave room for something I may want in the future. Seeing as though it's my tank but my mam decides what fish to put in it! :grr:

you can get some lovely looking guppys ,we have a cobra guppy and he really is beautifull , they would be fine with the plecs , but unsure as to whether they would be ok with the chinese algae eater

i would recommend a dwarf gourami, i have a male sunset one and he is very entertaining, when i put my head over the tank he spits water at me to get my attention.

I really don't like guppys that much, already have 11 juvies, all for sale. Don't really want livebearers. I suggested to someone a trio of dwarf gouramis, but he says they will die on me. I've looked after my brothers before with no problems but... Anyway thats really nice, I want a fish that has a personality like that! The only thing that my fish do is my angels follow me around the tank only because they want food.

gouramis are a good idea , we have a pair of males , and they are fine :) you can get some lovely colours too :)

would suggest a betta , but dont think they would survive with the chinese algae eater

Congo Tetras, but im guessing they are too big for a 20G?
There are some stunning Pencilfish out there too ie. Coral Red Pencilfish Nannostomus mortenthaleri
