Waterworld Aquatics in aberdeen! Family run Business! Just had a refit and now have there reptile shop on the other side of the store! huge selection of healthy fish. Massive selection of tanks! i belive they even deliver it and help u set it up! The guys that work there are very Knowledgeable and have won some awards a few years back! i tried the other shops in aberdeen but always had illnesses after i put fish in which i was blamed for but on closer inspection of the fish in the shop found 90% of them to have some form of illness!

I have 4 LFS's that I go to for equipment and livestock.

Pier aquatics - Non chain, my favourite LFS. Great stock for all types of fish and always healthy.
CMC aquatics - Again great stock, excellent for ponds too! Some real nice koi. Tanks are in perfect condition everytime with a nice selection of tropical and marine.
Maidenhead aqautics - Good shop, nice stocking.
Pets At Home - On the fish side, good. Clean tanks & a nice selection mainly for begginers.

Yes I agree. Maidenhead in Wigan is one of the best ones I've found.

Thats one of few Maidenheads i've been to. Pretty good I suppose. Had good stock, lack of staff though I thought.

ive got 2 lfs which are good oasis in salford is fantastic really well layed out and good knowledge with friendly staff and BAS in bolton theyve been helpful with me and always seem to have good stock in !!

Very much agree with gaz_s,

I live about 10 mins from tingley tropicals and they always have a good selection of healthy fish although the owners sarcasm can take a bit of getting used to

This is true sometimes i just smile and laugh as i dont know what to say!

Im from Hull and I sometimes travel a bit for my fish and dont mind going far for something special.

I guess my LFS is probably Maidenhead @ Beverley which is a decent shop. I some times out talk the staff though but they still teach me a bit now and again though, just wish they knew more about SA/CA cichlids lol gotten expensive recently though but I go there for all my food.

Ings Lane on the same street is a nice little shop get some good fish in now and again staff are pretty decent and always there to help. Pond stuff is amazing and well worth a look

Northfield Aquatics quite a new one and very close to the above two getting better but for some reason I wouldnt buy fish from them I dont know why but I just dont trust them - dont get me wrong no valid reason as to why I feel that way just me being daft.

4Pets an other grouped near these three - terrible dont go, good for dry goods but fish are pretty bad tbh sometimes a lot of dead fish in there and the stock is just quite basic and with the other three around I dont know how they can compete.

Ferrybridge Aquatics in Knottingly - Very good shop, top class owner winner of 2009 best shop in the North. Very good fish good selection lots of rare fish and he caters for all tastes and tank sizes but he is getting a bit prone to white spot at times which has put me off recently. Still amazing shop at the best of times.

Fish Inc in Sheffield - Just as didz said utterly amazing I just walked in and my jaw hit the floor while I realised how big it was there were so many fish in there I wanted it was incredible honestly well worth a long drive to get there I cant imagine you leaving disapointed.

Im going just for a day out there soon haha want to check out the other sheff shops.

I want to check out the west yorks shops that got mentioned above now esp QSS and tingley

Aqua splash in hare hatch, Berkshire is brilliant. It doesn't have the biggest selection but they are happy to order in, the staff are all avid fish keepers too. They are very helpful and take good care of the fish, also, if you are a regular there, they offer discounts

I didn't like these at all. They seem to heat the rooms rather then the tanks so it's always so hot in there, but the worse thing is their stocking levels. Not only tons of fish in 1 tank, but fishes in tanks not much bigger then themselves and Betta held in water cooler cups. I was so disgusted I complained to the council. Terrible. Stick with CMC and Maidenhead

Shirley aquatics in birmingham, has to be my most favorite shop, stock isnt a great variety but the staff are fantastic, particularly Russel & Steve, they are fab, always helpful and willing to discuss fish problems tanks etc. I love going there just for some time away from the house
