Right so it's not a SW tank but in my 850 litre FW which has a single central weir and sump i don't fell my 2 802 powerheads are up to the job.

I plan on quite heavly stocking with the best crap producers you can think of!!

The powerheads are having to pump the water a minimum of 2 metres.

there's 2 inlets one of the left whih is nearest to the sump which does the least work and an inlet on the right which is travelling around 3 metres.

I was considering the biggest ehiem hobby pump but on there chart at about 3 metres it's wasn't very much atall!!

I'm aiming to turn over around 4 times per hour.

oh and i need to beable to put 16mm (internal diameter) hose onto it.

Cheers,

UK shop links and prices would be great.

and here's a few pictures to help out. latest pictures are in the later pages.

You could try the aquamedic OR6500 CLICK HERE

It should pump up 2-3 metres although they retail at around £130-140

If its only for freshwater, then a pond pump would do the trick, oase aquamax IMO are the best.

ste :)

Too right there a bit on the pricey side  I wouldn't beable to get them at cost price either as my work don't stock them :(

Ah ha I'll look into them, we still have some knocking around in the shop. Not sure how I'm going to get that small hose onto them though.

Ritey after a tad of research I think i'll go for the 1500 - http://212.93.14.92/productdb/templates/PR...on=&top_id=3029

should still give about 5-6 turnovers per hour even having to pump it up a bit.

Will just have to play about with the connectors when I'm back at work.I don't know what put me off using a pond pump in the first place :/

Just thought i would update what I'm doing.

I was in work today and we Only have the older ones in end of line kind of thing.

We had 2x 2000's in stock but the other shop might have a 3000 or 2 instead.

So i'll either run 2x 3000's a 3000 on the longer side and 2000 on the short side or 2x 2000's if thats all we have left.

I'll be over to that by end of the weekend i hope.
