I know this isn't really a problem, but I was more curious then anything. I havn't really gotten a chance to post much yet, but I noticed after replying my post count stays the same. Anyone else encounter this? I'm not too worried about it, I'm just a little confused. I even counted my posts and there is more then my post count says. Seems a little weird.

If anyone wants to explain this, it would be appriciated.

I believe posts in non-fish related sections aren't added to the total. Under the headings of Welcome to Tropical Fish Forums, New to the Hobby, and Africans/Old World Cichlids you have nine posts. You have eight more posts between Non-fish Photos, Books, Music, Films & TV Shows, and Board Announcements.

You believe correctly.

Some people believe that a high post count equates to good advice. This is, of course, not true, but the myth persists. We restricted post count incrementation to the core areas of the board. Off topic posts there are easier to spot and can be deleted.

Of course, it's always nice to know you're the 9th highest poster on the board :shifty:

Spakeing of which, the 'overall top 20 posters' link is wrong, sorts it by member name as opposed to posts.

'overall top 20 posters'
Quite right, I'll mention that on the mod board. To get the info, (although not formatted as it was before), search for all users, by total posts, descending.

I don't care about post counts
even if I am 4th overall :p

Just remember everyone, "People aren't there post counts". Geniuses can have a post count of 1.
