Possible Heater Problems?

Ive just stuck my heater in my tank and its on 25C and it had a orange light? every now and then it come's on but after a while cuts out then comes back? is this right ?

i would say yes as the heater
as a built in thermostat which
governs the heat

yeah does say on the box it has a built in thermostat so this is working okay then yeah

Ha i got a little worried about mine, rearranged my tank and realised that the heater had a light on it so made sure that was pointing out so I could see it. Over the next few days I kept noticing the light wasn't always on, was close to buying a new one then realised it cant always be on or the tank would just keep getting hotter and hotter! Felt abit silly once I realised that!

Yes the heater sounds fine, it has a built in thermostat which detects when the water temperature drops below the temperature set on the heater and it turns the heater on until the temp heats up to the desired temp and its switches it back off again
