HI! Can you use pond plants in a aquarium? There is a pond that is overrun with aquatic plants and was wondering if i can use them in my tank? i heard you can bleach bath them, Any comments are appreciated!

I have done so before but they didn't last long. Only because they went from cold to warm water and they just didn't take.

You can just give them a really good clean, hand pick off any dead leaves, insects, algae and stick them in a separate tank with same parameters as main tank for a while, or you could use Potassium permanganate as a dip. You have to water it down, but if you do there's a risk of killing the plant and some fish, it's good to keep new things quarantined
