Yeah your right i completely forgot the tank was only 40L. They wouldnt be a good option then.

How about a Hillstream Loach setup? Place some algaed pebbles/stones around and Bob's your uncle! I bet its not what you had in mind, but I'm playing on the common name of "Hong Kong Plec" here

tbh i think i may leave the bottom dwellers off the list it dont look like anything really fits in there nicely oh well just means tank number 4 is going to have to come along! lol

I know there not catfish but what about a group of cherry shrimp?

a cockatoo cichlid who was not very good with my guppys is going in there he would eat the shrimp lol
