Please Please Can Someone Help Ammonia At 4!

My advice to you would be to get rid of the biorb they are useless and over priced for what they are.
I would invest in a bigger tank something like 15 to 20gal if you have the room.
Larger tanks are the best more forgiving with water quality.
See alot oif ill fish in these biorb things, there no good, sorry, maybe only good for a betta.

You always hear these things after you've bought it, and it was a birthday present for my daughter and that's what she wanted, but being only 5, it's me that gets lumbered with it!! I wouldn't have paid the £95 they are in the shops it was a bargin at £35 brand new, but like everything that looks pretty there always has to be downsides!!! Unfortunately I didn't do enough research so completely my fault but will definately consider something different.

Ok, good luck.

Finally I have got the ammonia down to 0.25 and has been reading this for the past 4 days, the nitrite is at 0. I can't seem to get rid of that last big of ammonia though, I did a 20 litre water change a couple of days ago hoping that the reading would be 0 but it's still at 0.25. :D

Is this ok for the fish or has anyone any ideas how I can get rid of that last bit??

I'm also a little concerned that one of them might be pregnant, aaagggh if it ain't one thing it's another. By reading up on platies I think I have a male and female in the tank, so either it has wind or pregnant, how do I decide what it is?

youve done well to get it down. but it does say on the bi orb boxes to only add one fish for the first month. but praise where its due. well done! :)
