Platy sitting on bottom of tank

Hi all! I'm new to the group. I've kept fish off and on my whole life but I've got a new 20 gal tank. I've got some new platties and 2 of them are just hanging out in the front corner of the aquarium. They will get up and swim around a little and they are eating but seem to just chill out at the bottom. Anyone have any insight? Is this normal platy behavior?

They look stressed, both with hiding at the bottom and their clamped tails. Have they gotten any better after adjusting to the tank?

Thanks! Yes, actually they are both up and swimming today. I'm about to put more water in and add more stress coat to be sure.
