Hi Guys
I have a 35 gallon tank with 4 platys (1 male 3 female) and 2 SAE. A couple of the females have given birth and we have a few fry. However, one of the females (possibly one of the pregnant ones) is not looking too clever. She stays very close to the surface (but not breathing for air) and her dorsel fin is usually lowered. But most disconcerting is that when she swims (which isnt often) she seems to jitter sideways and contorts her body sometimes.
I have recently added white spot medicine as a precaution cos I thought I noticed 2/3 white spots on one of the platys but these have seemed to have gone. Also, the sick platy also has a slight problem with one of her fins next to the gills. It doesnt seem to open up as much as the other one when she does move it.
Today I added 4 Guppies and they seem OK as do the other fish. Water parameters are fine.
Any ideas as to what the problem might be with my jittering plalty?
