I had a pair pf platty's in amongst a community tank which has guppy's, tetras etc. One of the platty's died yesterday and I am wondering if I should get another to keep the first one company or will the surviving one be happy with the other fish in the tank ? Sorry if it is an obvious question but I am new to tropical fishkeeping.

Platies will be fine on their own, if you want babies then obviously you will need to find it a mate but I know some people who've had lone platies and they live for years!! B)
