Looking amazing! Better be seeing this tank in a TOTM soon . That hygrophila looks incredible! mine has pretty much died off now. Will have to find an alternative.

My only issue is that I need to keep my lid on because I have a cat haha. How would I go around having an external With keeping the lid on ?

Is this a Juwel Primo? The only way would be to cut a hole in the edge of the lid for the pipes to go through.

I think I'd rather keep the internal

I'd go for the cut through on the lid personally - get some steel lily pipes on the filter and something like a Filtosmart or a Biomaster in the cupboard.
