for a 10 gallon tank you could start off with 10 or 15...but if you dont wana spend that much right away 6-8 wouldnt hurt. make sure you have more females when you buy them. look on ggle to find out how to sex them.

you could have 15 white clouds IMO. i love white clouds and use them in almost all of my tanks. i have 4 in an unheated 3 gallon. the temp is around 65 but gets to 77 in the summer. they are very good fish and are hard to kill.

i wouldnt have 15 in a 60 litre!!!

remeber you will end up with 40-50 shrimps which will be strain on the bio due to the sheer number!

and nitrates would build up very quickly

yea, if your planning on an nice aquascape the fish are just colourful movement, the scape and inverts are the best bit imo

damn right :good:

and you want to make sure youva got decent filtration so that the ammonia processing happens quicker therefore hindering algae growth

ok i would probably go for 6-8 WCMM but my lfs also sell rosy red minnow i think they are quite often so i will research into other types
yes the cherry shrimp are the cheapest so probably go for them unless i can find anything else like them at the same price really
wat sort of filter do i want in there???
also what about those aquatic crabs? has anyone used them before in planted nano tanks because they do look quite nice
so for the carpet i can just buy a mossball or 2 and rip them up??

if your on about red clawed crabs they are brackish.
as for the filter i would go for an eden 501 external available from aqua essentials

i am glad truck pointed that out for me and you, one of my lfs were selling red claw crabs and marked up as fw, i thought oh they would be interesting to have, good job i went with my instict and held off before i knew more about them

that filter is quite pricey at £40 for such a small one
is there any other options for a bit less money
