Hi Im cycling my 29 gallon and I wanna put in plants i'm just wondering hot to gravel vaccume cause im going to get a lot of plants and how to care cause I bought plant fizztabs Im a complete plant n00b oh and please note I AM adding fish.

changing the water is more important than vacuuming the gravel in a planted tank...you suck some of the waste out, but most of it will fertilize the plants

so I take a bucket and scoop ut water no gravel vaccume?

Just use the vacuum to syphon off detritus from the top of your gravel. You wont need to completely up root and disturb your plants roots when doing a clean, just get the stuff from the top and any build up!

what mr miagi said...i was just saying it is not as important to get all of the waste out since the plants will use it..just do the best you can without disturbing your plants
