Alright so i have had my pygmy corys in my 10 gal for about 2 days now and i only have 2 plants, my anubias nana which has black brush algae on it so kinda disappointing and my java moss which is tied to my Malaysian driftwood.  I would eventually like to spread my java moss out so that it grows along the bottom of the drift wood and maybe on my gravel.

But what i am looking for is some more plants because my tank is almost bare with only 2 plants, soooo i have black aquarium gravel and i use a liquid fertilizer with no co2.  Does anyone have any suggestion on what plants would be good for my tank in means of mid section plants and maybe some tall ones for out back (knowing that my tank is only 14" high with about 10" of water)!

java fern for the back and a few amazon swords.some ludgiwia repens and anubias for the midground and for the foreground  some nice dwarf sag. Trust me on this , these are nice easy to grow plants and mine have dont good on medium light and fertliser.

And your driftwood could be upgraded to some nice redmoor root for a center piece

Unless you find one of the dwarf varieties, don't go for amazon sword. The common types would outgrow a 10G if you didn't do lots of trimming.

if you want a swordy looking plant which doesnt grow big try Barclaya longifolia  or Aponogeton Crispus. barclaya's a lovely deep red, and easy to grow

Okay so these all sound like great ideas but are all of them able to survive off of liquid fertilizer or would i have to get the root tabs for some?

any plant can survive off liquid ferts, when there in aquatic form they take in the ferts though there leaves as well as roots. although plants like crypts will take in more through there roots so you might see better growth with tabs and ferts

Even with dwarf Amazons they can still bust a 10gal. I have one that would take up a good third of my 10. As for liquid ferts., my swords do just fine on them.
Have bba on my Anubius nana as well. A pain, but I ignore it.

Cryptocorynes will look good. Background will be albida. Midground will be some wendtii and foreground will be parva. trust me on this one. Very hardy and low maintanance plants

The plants suggested can just grow of liquid fertiliser, mine have done better than i thought but if you can get some root tabs buy them as it will be better . If you want to  have larger and more vibrant plants

Yeah all of these plants sound great and it all depends on what my LFS has in stock or can order.  But they usually have a very good sized variety so i dont think i will have a problem finding most of these plants.  I will just have to look into them all separately and decide which ones i like the best :). Thanks guys for all of the suggestions will post pics and things when i am done!!
