While I like those photos I was never a fan of underwater pictures, its almost too easy to get a neat shot, more luck in seeing the stuff then anything else.
The eye behind the camera is all that matters.
I have several grand in camera and lens and flashes and lights, yet when I was in vegas for a conference the top photog for maxim was there, and I had a chance to learn a bit from him. Want to know his camera of choice when not in a studio? A disposible camera with a flash that can be manually turned on or off. A 9 dollar camera has shot the cover of maxim. Same with Sport Illistrated, one of the photogs only uses cheap cheap point and shoot camera.
Brilliant pics but I cant afford a good camera, I cant afford all the lenses like fish eye and all that stuff, i cant afford to go under the sea with a camera and im too scared to be in such a big shoal of fish.. so to me not all the best photographers are ever heard of, the best to me are the ones who sit at there tank for hours on end just for the right time to press that button![]()
