All,

I have a 75 gallon community aquarium and currently have a neon blue dwarf gourami, a gold gourami, and some neon tetras among other fish. I was thinking of adding a pearl gourami, but was told by the person at the lfs that it may eat the neon tetras, is this true?

My neons and other gouramis appear to get along fine and there is no observable aggression.

Thanks.

hi mimifish, i have pearl gouramis a male and female, male must be getting on for 3.5 - 4inches long now. have seen no signs of any problem with my eight neons they dont take any notice of each other.none gone missing either, so from my experience they should be fine. :) pebbles

I also have a male/female pair of pearl gourami's that are also big, about three years old now, and have had no problems with the 4 cardinal and 5 neons in the tank. As Pebbles said, they don't really even seem to notice each other. :)
