Great job. Looks well too. I'm viewing this with my blackberry and as I got a notification to say you added pictures I was making a cup of tea, I was that eager to see your progress that I wasn't looking what I was doing and put coffee into my cup instead of sugar. Then proceeded to drink it. Its not a drink I would recommend by the way.
Do you have any other way of accessing the tank apart from the 6 inches it will slide out? From the garage or anything? Sorry if you've already mentioned earlier in the thread, I cant remember.. how are you gunna light the tank?
And coz i'm impatient and cant wait to see the end result.. whats your time scale on having it all finished!?
Hi, You can access the lights by pulling the tank out half way, If you ever needed to do any repairs on them we would just empty tank into our Tank in garage but i dont think we will be doing that for a while.Looking Good.
Couple of questions if you don't mind.
How do you access light box?
Can you tell me how you made dead stop at 50% Extention. Is it on aluminium base?
Sorry, just it's quite a project and I love to know how things are done.
looking good! you'll have to get a sofa at the other end of your room now too so you can sit and look at the tank! lol
This is looking amazingi too am over at my girlfriends got an email saying you had posted and BAM online hahahaha
How are you cycling the tank if your getting fish in so soon? are you using the filter media and water from your matre tank to go into this?![]()

Looks great, will watch this project closely, i cant comment on weight ratio etc, as havent a clue, so good luck with that, have you thought about placing a shelf on the runners, maybe metal or strong wood?<just a thought> maybe its been suggested, just flitted through the pages, hehe lazy.......
I hope this works out for you![]()
one thing, get an inline heater. It will look so much better.
Awesomethat way it can go straight into action
I know. We all hate cycling but it has to be done for a healthy life for you and the fish
otherwise you end up without any money or any fish

The external heater needs sorting too (not a job for super woman lol)...Got to ring Picture framer today to finish off the look.Awesomethat way it can go straight into action

We are using the fish we had before,1 cat fish, 2 pleco, 1 Severum, 2 guarammi, 2 foil barbs,1 Paradise fish, Think i may have spelt them wrong???![]()
I would suggest if you are doing something like this, to have a room behind it for all the equiptment etc. And this has taken us about 5 weeks up to now, as my husband works full time so weekends are all he has.
