My Oscar had a growth under his bottom lip a few months ago which, I thought I had successfully treated. I have noticed today though that it has reappeared.

Obviously I will treat it again but I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem. I know that Oscars like to dig so would removing the substrate help.

Losi is the lump a smallish pink lump, because if so I've seen quite a few oscars with them, one of mine has had one for ages. I don't why they appear, but I would just make sure it doesn't any larger or any other fish don't develop them.
I wouldn't remove the gravel as you say he likes to dig so why take away something here enjoys.

Thanks for the advice David ;)

It is pinkish, roughly the same colour as his underside (he is quite young so still going through colour changes.

Last time he had the lump it grey to about 2 cm and looked similiar to a barble. the only reason that I am considering removing the gravel is that i am not sure if the digging is what has caused it??

I will treat it and keep an eye on it........
