Hmmm, still having algae problems and I'm now wondering if they're self inflected?? Made a post last week regarding bba. General consensus was I should up my co2, which I have. Saw lots of pearling from my plants but have now seen a significant increase in long stringy algae. Now, what has just dawned on me is its a relatively new set up, 12 weeks or so, with a mature filter from my old tank. I forked out for Aquagro nutrasoil, a nutrient rich plant substrate. Tropica app recommend no ferts for the first 90 days (I was following there daily diary for a new planted set up). Looking back I didn't have an issue until I started to dose ferts. Maybe the new substrate has more than enough nutrients for my plants needs as half the tank has a big piece of bogwood covered in anubias, ferns and moss, so the substrate under that area isn't being used by any plants.
Its wonderful what comes to mind when you sit looking into your tank pondering about what's going wrong. Any thoughts??
