It just goes to prove how fickle cichlids are, in Matts tank Duce was trying to kill rainbow (and everything else ), here there are all just hanging around mid tank, chilling out together. Rainbow has even come upto the front glass a couple of times when I have gone right upto the tank, he has settled like he has been in there for years? Its like a different fish to the one scrapping with Bailey (diadema) only an hour or so ago.

Just love keeping fish

It's a male. To sex jd you look at the gill plates the females have lots of blue males very little. Thus one looks like he only has a few specks on the gill plates so I would say it's a boy.

So star how many fish do you have now? Your like the foster home for fish.

I guessed he was male with Bailey's reaction to him, she was ok with the male texas, and is fine with Tigger who is female.

I have at present: 6 lodgers
Fish being given to me rather than a shop or too aggressive or unwanted and any other reasons: 9 (thankfully I have found homes for lots and only have these 9 left)
50 odd baby rotkeils left
plus around 50 others I think
