One Has One's Self A Red Sev

Aye, I've joined the severum club.

Got myself a 6 inch red severum, called him berty

Got him a day before I went on holiday though so I've not seen much of him and only got back today after ten days away. Still very shy when there's movement in the room but he does seem to have some character.

Went to Swallow aquatics on the second half of my time away and found out that my mother in law actually started that place and then sold it on to whoever owns it now. The things you never know eh!!

What a place though! Was desperate to buy so much but couldn't with having a 400 mile journey home

A question I have though, are there any sev safe live plants that I can put in without him bothering them too much?

Aww very cute!

I haven't even bothered trying any live plants with my Sevs, especially as they are in with my Oscar.

Think some people say java fern can work, however I can imagine them just ripping it up for fun if they can't eat it

My sevs eat all plants I did have a while with giant valis but thats been mown down now I have a large amazon sword that is growing very well but as we speak leaves are being ripped up in disgust of them not being able to eat it.....

Oh he is gorgous. People fibbed saying Java fern is ok with sevs, fine when they are little but Vinny has completely ripped mine apart! (but still loves him)

vinny is a little terror with plants aint he star. when i did find a plant he coudnt eat ( onion plant ) he uprooted it just to spite me!! gotta be honest i miss the big fella . glad hes got a good home tho
