always thought my trigon 350 (350 litres) is 80 us gallons.

just from nowhere realised i'm completely wrong and it's closer to 92

been working everything out wrong for that tank for ages now! whoops

i wouldn't complain you have more room for fishies now

Did i read something in this months PFK that said that they recommend 1 inch per gallon for the first six months, and then up to two there onwards (whilst making a judgement call on how it looks i guess)...?

yeah not complaining, just can't believe i've been so dumb (although i shouldnt be surprised really, it's fairly typical  )

more fishes is a possibility, as one of them may have to be re-homed i think i can maybe get another plec/catfish type thing in there

i've seen that before, think it's rubbish though, yeah you can stretch things in a mature tank, but i wouldn't go that far

hey are you sure you werent using a UK converter for the first few months and you got the 92 gallons from a US converter?

cos i think 92 US gallons is about 80 UK gallons.

either way you have more space cos people use US but atleast if im right then your not so stupid as u think lol.

I did the same. LFS told me the tank was 50 uk gals when I bought it from them. but after I cycled it found out it was 42 uk gals..........It cycled quickly........

I think I worked out where I was going wrong.

Ian told me to get gallons from litres you divide by 4.5 (i think) which gave me roughly 80g. then I found out that was wrong and never thought that I should recalculate for my tanks
