RHCP are ace, saw them at Sheffield a couple of times. Awesome!
as for Elvis he didn't write half of his own songs, Leiber & Stoller did. He was a teen sensation (probabaly the first ever) on his generation. So...yeah he probably did influence bands like Bros, NKOTB, Take That, The Osmonds etc. Just not my kind of music.

Definately Maybe, fav album, been a fan since 1994. My cousin was big on the indie band scene, remember her in 92 raving on about a band that she'd seen in a local club up manchester, then when they released in 94, I was hooked.
Live Forever, Champagne Supernova, wonderwall, some might say and lyla are my fav songs.

the music scene was a bit rubbish before, the roses, the verve, oasis. It was all stock, aitkin and waterman or hardcore rave. The rave scene was massive and the madchester scene latched on to it with the roses and the happy mondays releasing records that could be played in nightclubs. This sparked a new generation of music, which Oasis caught the end of with a fresh guitar sound. I was a teen at the time, but it was a brilliant time to be around music.

fave OASIS songs for me are Live Forever ,Aquiesce, Gas Panic Morning Glory could go on and on oh Slide Away I love that!! lol
Chilis my best band ever, they;ve been around so long and had so many different sounds its hard to pick one. My stand out is the cliche one BSSM.A perfect album for me, I got into them at Mothers Milk and love that as well of the older ones Freaky Styleys my fave but I love Uplift as well Organic Anti Beatbox Band is one of my fave songs of theres anyweay!!!

Oooooo who said googoo's? Love em. Well I've only heard one album tbh (dizzy up the girl). The others any good?
As for a favourite, I really can't put my finger on it. I go through phases of different genres, at the minute its pop punk/metal, a day to remember, four years strong, set your goals. But I can always go back and listen to ray charles, stevie ray vaughan, rhcp, clash, pistols, cash.... Arghhhh there's to many! I think there some where in my top 10!

Any way had a flick through, some interesting views. The thing is with Oasis, your either a fan, a proper fan or a hater. Normal fans favourite song is Wonderwall, whereas proper fans know they have hidden gems in each album and some unreal b-sides! A load of people hate Oasis due to their arrogance, but I love them for it, they do it for themselves, keeping it real. A lot of people don't get the whole Oasis thing, listen to Definately Maybe & watch them live then you'll get it. Shame about the split, but cannot wait! to see Noel live!
Im also into the Chilli's aswell as Foo Fighters, The Verve & a few more British bands.

Well the first time I have ever heard Oasis would have been what, 1 minute ago? I do have to say, I like them. They sorta remind of a Beatles a bit. Anywh, I wil be looking for some of their tracks soon. I will check and see if any of my friends can make me a copy of their CD.
