Hello,
Just bought a couple of these and I`m a bit confused. There is very little information. i`ve read george Farmers and am still a bit in the dark.

Firstly the canister doesn`t seem to have any markings for levels...?
Secondly, how do I attach tube to ladder
Thirdly...whats the black screwy thingy for.

Sorry for being such a numpty.....help much appreciated.

many thanks..........

Hi

If you have look inside the canister you will see some plastic sticking out, near bottom there are 3, this is to level the sugar, the one on its own nearer the top is your water level.

If I remember correctly, at one end of your tube there should be a connector that connects to the ladder, push the flat part into the ladder, then the rest of the tube will fit into the ladder

Sorry not sure what the black screwy thing is, lid maybe?

And create your own mixture, the ones that come with it are not great and quite expensive

i) Fill sugar to first fin.
ii) Add about 3/4 teaspoon of allisons dried active yeast
iii) Add luke warm water up to level
iv) Give it a good shake or stir to dissolve all the sugar
v) Hook it up! It should produce bubbles in about an hr but often takes just a few minutes

You could add bicarbonate of soda this helps stabilize your PH but never I never use it.

The black screw thing, is actually a holder for the cannister, which if i remember correctly hangs over the side of the tank. I just sit my cannister inside the cabinet.

Cheers Gordon

Thanks both.....eventually got the two of them bubbling away.

I`ve two of these and was initially going to have one either side, but have them now one above the other .................

Would there be any benefit from them being on seperate ends ??......or will the Co2 be circulated anyway ?

Thank again.............martin
