Not sure to be concern or not (betta fish)

Hey not sure if this is stupid or not but I fed my betta fish a piece of cucumber and a small piece floated somewhere and I’m scared it could somehow kill my betta fish.

It won’t kill the betta but will mold and can cause ammonia to rise. Just look again tomorrow and vacuum your substrate along with a 75% water change. Nothing bad is going to happen overnight. I sometimes put cucumber in at night and don’t Remove until next night if snails or shrimp are still eating it. Note: No question is stupid.
