Hey peeps, thought you might like to see some pics I've taken recently. We've been to a couple of great aquariums lately on a holiday in our camper around the Lakes and Yorkshire. It was a good trial for me to get to know my camera a bit better with non flash photography, but I wish I'd had the hind sight to experiment with my ISO settings when I was there, but I was too impressed/excited at the time  I still need to practice my settings one heck of alot but I enjoyed it I have to say!

Firstly, The Deep in Hull

The scale of the exhibits here is stunning...a 10 metre deep shark pool with a walk-thru tunnel and 4 storeys to view it from, along with loads of different angles to check out...

I could have happily moved in and lived there! :hyper:

Then there was the Aquarium By the Lakes at Newby Bridge, Lake District. A totally different experience scale wise but still superbly displayed...it took you through a journey from river to seashore...

Great use of an unwanted Biorb?

I found the exhibits to be wonderfully creative and an imaginative way to display the inhabitants

Shame they didn't have any really nice looking freshwater tanks =\

The Deep is an aquarium for saltwater fish but the Aquarium By the Lake did have some freshwater fish indigenous to our country as well as some black widow tetras and such.

Yep, it's a tree frog :good: I was fascinated by the way they clung to the glass like that! :hyper:
