Hi folks,
I've put the stand in at or close to it's final position. However the spirit level is telling me the back is higher than the front. It's on carpet about 10cm away from the wall so I would assume the carpet gripper is playing a part? The tank sitting on the kitchen table in the middle of the room is level. My non-DIY oriented mind has come up with a couple of possible solutions;
1. Hope the weight of the tank and water pushes the whole thing down into the carpet a bit more and level it out that way.
2. Get some polystyrene between the stand and the carpet that will have more 'give' than the carpet and spread the weight of all above it evenly.
So are any of those the way to go or is it more tricky than that? I'd rather not get into sanding as I'll end up with no legs left. I guess also waiting for the stand to 'imprint' itself into the carpet might help the situation, but that could be a lot of waiting for no benefit.
Thanks
Tom
