Noob Fishless Cycling Question

Keep the fish in your bowl until you can do a huge water change and get rid of all that ammonia, NH3. It is high enough in your water to seriously damage your fish.

I waited about 5 hours to make sure that the nh3 had drop to 0. The nh3 processors have been processing 5ppm to 0 in about 12 hours so I figured that would be sufficient.

I had just done a few water changes in the last few weeks for fix ph. My water comes out of the tap at 0 kh. I figured that would mean my no3 would be good, and since my filter seems to be processing the nh3 and no2 I should be fine I think.

Sound ok?

Also, my temp for cycling was at 84. I read the guppys like 65-79. Should I turn it down a bit? I'm trying to get it lower atm. My heater is a bit touchy though. I'm trying to turn it down slowly. Currently at 82.

Turn the heat way down. I would unplug a heater in a guppy tank in the summer. If you don't run an air conditioner so cold it makes you shiver, the guppies will be fine in the cool water.
