Nomorhamphus liemi are occasionally seen in aquarium shops they are a bit on the expensive side but a interesting species to keep below a adult pair and a 3 week old baby. the fry are very large at birth usually 1 inch long Nomorhamphus liemi can have up to 20 fry however mine produced a brood of 12

There are multiple kinds of halfbeaks. In general all halfbeak fry are large at birth in comparison to the size of the mother.
