A pair of nomorhamphus liemi
Males are very colourful compared to females N.Liemi are good jumpers a tight fitted lid is needed this species is an easy to keep and breed. There babies are very large at birth I find brood size usually less than 10 newborn babies are large enough to take Daphnia ,fruit flies ,and small mosquito larvae,

Mine have reproduced themselves in the pool in our backyard. And yes, those fry are big in relation to the body size of the mother. The ones indoors are less reproductive at the moment. Those that are outdoors don't need to be fed for everything they need in a natural way is present.

My adults are between 4 inches - 5 inches. Newborn fry like in the photos below are about 1 inch and just over 1 inch. Sometimes even a but bigger but that's also dependable on the size of the mother. Overhere an average batch will have between 7 - 10 fry.
Despite of the fact that they're big at birth, in a smaller environment, those adults can chase those fry. In a bigger environment as mine, those fry are completely left alone.

Are they jumpers ? They sure look like they could be .
They are considered being jumpers. But I do have to admit that as long as I've kept them, no jumpers seen... And indoors, the tank that they're in is semi open. And outdoors, they haven't jumped out either.
