Right,

I have this Bio Nitrate Reducer, a product called NitrateMinus by tetra.
It sits beneath the gravel (little pearlescent balls) and reduces the nitrate as per the link below....

NitrateMinus

Well the directions say to put this underneath or deep down in the gravel. Well i am very sceptical if things start to go wrong, how the hell can i get this bio-degradable stuff out if it starts messing things up.....

So i had an idea..... sticking some established gravel in some tights (Pantyhose for all you americans) and adding the stuff in here. Then burrying the pantyhose in my gravel...... Good idea?

My questions are, does anybody know of any bad effects of this product? or are there any limitations to putting pantyhose in my tank for a permenant fixture (IE Does the nylon degrade and give of chemicals?)

Thanks Guys and Gals :)

I should think you'd be alright with the tights as long as you check them periodically.

Also don't buy them yourself, get a female to do it :D
You don't want to start tongues a' wagging :p

I'm sure your fish will be used to the smell :hyper:

 I'll get my coat .......................

(just a joke - i have no idea if your girlfriends mother smells :) )
